ISSC31 You Inspire Me

WOWZA!! This month has flown by!! Where did summer go?  I've been adjusting to some changes in life lately so my posts have been a little sporadic.  I'm hoping I can figure out how to juggle it all.

This week at iSPy, you are in for a treat!!! We are featuring Karen Dunbrook ( k dunbrook @ SCS) and is based on this card. Karen is the queen of CAS!!! If you check out her blog or SCS gallery, you'll need to grab a cup of coffee and a cloth because you'll be drooling over her fantastic work!!!

I love the simplicity of this sketch.

And if I do say so myself, I really like how my card turned out.  I used some Carta Bella DP as my inspiration and used the MFT set called "My Favorite Sentiments" (this was part of their birthday releaes).  I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black and then embossed it with clear embossing powder before sponging with Pink Pirouette ink.

Here is how to play:

  • Create a paper crafting project (card, scrap book page or 3D item), based on the sketch provided.Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code ISSC31), and link it here with the inlinkz widget below.
  • Please provide a direct link to your post - not the generic link to your blog.
  • A new challenge will be posted every Friday at 12:01 AM EST, and you have until noon on the following Friday EST to submit your entry.
  • You may enter as many times as you like, but please provide a newly designed project with a new link for each additional project.
  • We will choose the top 2 creations to be featured in our "Top 2 Winners" post every Sunday where we will announce who we have picked :) The winners will receive their very own iSpy Sketches blog badge!
  • Don't forget that you may combine our challenges with others and use supplies from any company that you wish :)
  • Have fun and we look forward to "spying" your creations!

I'm loving this sketch!! Thanks Kim!!!

I absolutely love this sketch that Kim created!! For my card, I've used the TSG set called "Cattitude" that I haven't used in quite some time.  I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.

TSG Sneak Peek - On the Move

Here we are on our fourth, and final, day of peeks for this month's new release at There She Goes, and we are ending it with an ADORABLE set from Torico!!
Torico has created the most adorable moving set,  which we think will help to ease the pain of moving just a little! Most people do NOT like to move, and this super cute set has an image and sentiment for every occasion, whether you be the one moving, or if you are sending one to a friend or family member. With a major transition such as moving, a hand stamped greeting is JUST the thing to say goodbye, hello, or just a plain welcome to the neighborhood….and there’s a DOG!!!!

For my card, I used the current SFYTT sketch. Go me!! LOL!! Can you tell I have a bunch of new papers in my collection of DP?  Love it all!!!
On the Move is a 6x8 set that includes a total of 22 stamps and will sell for $24.00.
Would you like to win the new On the Move stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. One of the Trendsetter’s blogs (from each hop day) will be randomly chosen as the ‘it’ blog and a winner will be picked using a random number generator from the comments left on that Trendsetter’s Blog Hop Challenge post.
You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning new stamps! The Blog Hop Challenges will be open until 5 PM Eastern Time Saturday, August 25th with the winner being announced during the release party chat.

Last month we released the new Enjoy Life set with matching dies, and THIS month, Melyssa has created a set full of stamps to go along with the dies!! From crabs, to sand castles, oysters, and octopi, this set will help you use the Enjoy Life dies to there fullest!!

For my card, I decided to use last week's Mojo Monday sketch. LOVE IT!!! I'll definitely be using it again.  The DP is a mish mash of Sassafrass, Bella Blvd and Bo Bunny. The image was cut out using the Enjoy Life Die (released last month), stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.

TSG Sneak Peek - Donkey University

WOW!! This month has flown by!!! It's been a whirlwind for me but the best part of this month is the TSG release!! It's such a fun release!! I swear each month the sets are just getting better and better.
Our favorite new animal at There She Goes is the Donkey, and this month Melyssa has found great new ways for us to dress up our Donkey however we see fit. With his super cute tee shirt, and several sayings, you can send Donkey to the University, or just let everyone know what a STUD he is!! We hope you love this set as much as WE do, because believe me, we are in LOVE!!

Once I saw the "Baby on Board" in this set, I knew I wanted to make a more girly looking card and I had so much fun making it :-)  I have watercolored the donkey with Tombow Markers.  I then made a tutu out of pink tulle ribbon (fun isn't it?). I also paper pieced the shirt for a more complete look.  I love the layout in this week's TSG challenge so I have used it for my card.

Donkey University is a 4x4 set that includes a total of 13 stamps and will sell for $10.00.

Would you like to win the new Donkey University stamp set? Here is what you need to do- visit the Trendsetter’s blogs that are participating in each of the blog hop challenges below and comment on their creations as you go. iSSC29 Love you beyond Measure

My blog seems to have fallen asleep.... Sorry about that!!! I had intentions of getting ahead this week but I was buried under Dirty Dozen projects, completing my samples for the upcoming TSG release and watering my parents' garden.  I had hoped to do some "me" stamping this week but it didn't happen.... Hopefully next week!!!

I know why you're here... you're here for the current iSpy sketch!! Yeah!!! This week's sketch is from  Renee Matarese ( Renlymat @ SCS) and is based on this card.

My card is also for this week's TSGA post.  Each month at There She Goes we highlight some of our older sets and Jessica puts them on sale :-).  For my card, I've used the TSG set called "Chemistry".  It has always been one of my favorite TSG sets and I pull it out every chance I get.  I have watercolored the image with Tombow Markers and then added some Diamond Stickles to the "bubbles" coming out of one of the test tubes.

Thanks for popping by!!!

ISSC28 A Great Pear

Hi there!!! It's Friday, finally!! LOL!! I'm off work for the next several days so I'll have an opportunity to get a little crafty - wahoo!! I've had these sweet pears colored up since mid-July and they're finally making their way onto a card for this week's iSpy Sketch Challenge. You'll recognize the fruit (I used a different image from this set called "Fruity Friends" from Taylored Expressions just last week).

The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers. I even pulled out my SU Pastels (which haven't seen the light of day in a few years) to create the cheeks on the pears.  The DP is all from my scrap bin (MME, Pebbles and not sure about the red/pink polka dots).

Head on over to the iSpy blog to check out what the Special Agents have created.

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the week, Sandra! She is challenging YOU to make a card or project using a sentiment as the main focus of your card!!

My mojo has taken a break... yikes!!! My summer has been incredibly crazy and today was the first time I've had to sit down at my craft desk in almost two weeks... Crazy eh?  I saw this layout sometime in the last few weeks (I can't remember where) and knew it would be perfect for this week's challenge.  I kept the card incredible simple to highlight the sentiment from the TSG set "Everyday Greetings".

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using this week’s challenge and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. For my card, I've used the Taylored Expressions set called "Fruity Friends" that I borrowed from a friend.  The image was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.
