ISSC22 Cuteasaurous

WOW!!! I've been busy on my blog this week!! I hope you've been enjoying it.  I've definitely been having a lot of fun with this month's TSG sneak peeks.

I'm here today with this week's ISpy sketch - love it!! This week's sketch is from Julie Mogford (jules_bmp@ SCS) and is based on this card.  I love Julie's CAS look to her card, but you know me, I HAD to layer it up.

Fun eh?  Love it!!!

I recently acquired quite a few CHF Kim Hughes sets at a crafty garage sale at my LSS and this is one of the sets called "Little Boy".  I've noticed on the Paper Smooches website that Kim has redone this image with a slight difference to the legs of this dinosaur.  I've stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored the image with Tombow Markers.  I  also had a bit of fun with my Glossy Accents and covered most of the body with it.

Here is how to play:
  • Create a paper crafting project (card, scrap book page or 3D item), based on the sketch provided.Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code ISSC22, and link it here with the inlinkz widget below.
  • Please provide a direct link to your post - not the generic link to your blog.
  • A new challenge will be posted every Friday at 12:01 AM EST, and you have until noon on the following Friday EST to submit your entry.
  • You may enter as many times as you like, but please provide a newly designed project with a new link for each additional project.
  • We will choose the top 2 creations to be featured in our "Top 2 Winners" post every Sunday where we will announce who we have picked :) The winners will receive their very own iSpy Sketches blog badge!
  • Don't forget that you may combine our challenges with others and use supplies from any company that you wish :)
  • Have fun and we look forward to "spying" your creations!

TSG Sneak Peek - Poultry in Motion

Eeks!!! It's day 3 of TSG Sneek peeks already and this is a fun set!!!

When drawing up last month’s Oh Crop set, there were just TOO many cute images and sayings for one set, so we HAD to split it into two. Poultry In Motion is the companion set to Oh Crop, and includes SEVERAL new sayings, and more ADORABLE images you are sure to love! From the farmer’s wife, to several more barn yard friends, you will LOVE what you can create when these two sets combine.

I LOVE this set!!! I stared at the set for quite some time before making a decision as to what image to choose.  (I already have a few more ideas in mind).  I ended up going with one of the sheep images and a cute sentiment to match.  The layout for my card is this week's TSG sketch challenge.

Poultry in Motion is a 4x8 set that includes a total of 30 stamps and will sell for $18.00.

TSG Sneak Peek - Stitched with Love

Welcome to Day 2 of TSG Sneek peeks!!! Weren't the skunks way too cute?
Last month, we released the CUTEST set by Torico, Cute as a Button. This month, we have it’s PERFECT companion-Stitched With Love! Full of additional images and sentiments, whether used separately, or together, no matter what you create, Stitched With Love will be PERFECT for the crafter in your life (or you!!)!!

I went to a scrapbook store about 45 minutes from where I live a couple of weeks ago and saw these chipboard forms that I knew would be perfect for this set. I covered the form with DP and then sponged the edges.  I added some pink tulle ribbon and crochet lace to finish it off. I stamped the sentiment "Sew Happy for You" in Chocolate Chip ink.
Stitched With Love is a 4x6 set that includes a total of 24 stamps and will sell for $15.00.

TSGA - Spread your wings

Each month at There She Goes,  we have what we call "There She Goes (Again)"  where we highlight some of our older sets.  All week long we've been showing some older cards that the DT has created and today we show you new cards we've made using the sets.

For my card, I've used the TSG set called "Spread Your Wings", it's one I pull out quite often because I love the images as well as the fantastic sentiments.  When I started this card, I had planned on using the butterflies but my creativity took me to a different route. LOL!!! I'm sure you know how that goes!!  I stamped the sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black, and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I then sponged the entire main panel with Pink Pirouette Ink.  A few MS butterflies that I've sponged around the edges and I'm all done.  Simple, easy!! The layout for my card is this month's SFYTT

Now head on over to the TSG blog to check out all the fantastic cards the DT has created!!!

All of the TSGA sets are on sale this week too!!!

Love Birds Regular Price: $18.00 Special Price: $15.30
Spread Your Wings Regular Price: $15.00 Special Price: $12.75

TSG161 Bee happy!!!

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by our Trendsetters! TSG offers so many different stamps, and SEVERAL of them feature things that fly--from bugs to butterflies, birds, and bees; we want you to use your Winged Things!

For my card, I decided to use one of this month's There She Goes (Again) sets called "Bee Happy".  It has always been one of my go to sets and it makes me smile every time. There are so many things you can do with it and it always looks like a different card.  I have used last week's Mojo Monday sketch that seemed to fit so perfectly.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project featuring something with Wings, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. YNS Challenge # 2 - Summer time!!

This week the challenge at Your Next Stamp is a theme....SUMMER!!! How easy is that???!!! You can interpret it any way you would like, summer colors, stamps, foods, etc., etc., etc.
For my card, I decided to use the set called BBQ Box Scene that was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and then embossed with clear embossing powder. I really wanted to create a high contrast card so I kept it simple with the black, red and white theme.
YNS' stamps are not required to play along, but we would love to see you ink 'em up.

Link up your SUMMER project at the end of this post by next Wednesday, June 21, 2012.

You are also welcome to link your project to our SCS Forum and into the SCS gallery using the keyword YNSC2. Plus, if you use a YNS product then add the keywords YNS and yournextstamp.

One random winner will receive a $10.00 gift certificate to the YNS store.

You're going places

*** If you are looking for my iSpy card, please scroll down***

Each Friday at Your Next Stamp, the girls do something they call "Fun Friday" on the YNS blog. It's quite neat to see what the girls come up with and I couldn't wait to ink up this world traveler LOL!!! from the set called "Celebrate the Journey".  For some reason, he reminds me of the Aflac duck.  I'm sorry if all you hear the rest of the day is "Aflac".  Oops!!!  I have stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed it with clear embossing powder and then I have watercolored with Tombow Markers.  One of the reasons I like to emboss the image is because it creates a bit of a dam so that it makes it harder for the color to go over the lines.  The fishtails I have created on my card are all the rage these days - to get a bit of extra dimension, I sponged the edges of them with Chocolate Chip ink.  I also curled the edges a bit to make them look not so flat.  The layout for my card comes from the current CPS sketch.

Thanks for popping by to check out my "Fun Friday" post.

ISSC20 with Lori Boyd

Another week has flown by and it's been a busy one for me.  I got a new job for the summer and beyond which will allow me to still be a Teacher on Call.  I'll be working at my local Michael's as their Scrapbooking instructor and as a Sales Associate.  Yeah!! This could be dangerous though. LOL!!!

I know you're not here for that though, you're here to check out this week's iSpy sketch.  We're featuring Lori Boyd (3Bugs&Me @ SCS) and is based on this card.  I have had the honor to be on Lori's design team and I've always loved her style.  Her coloring is beyond gorgeous and her personality is out of this world.  I'm lucky to be able to call Lori a friend.

Here is this week's sketch.  Fabulous right??

I had SO much fun with my card.

LOL!!!! As soon as I saw this stamp set from Totally Stampalicious called "Gus Mantastic" I knew I had to buy it.  It was my dad's birthday recently and this is the card I gave him.  It brought a lot of chuckles that day I can tell you that.   I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  I masked off Gus so that I could sponge in the clouds as well as the sand.

Hope you like it!!!

Now pop on over to the iSpy blog to check out what the girls have created!!!

TSG160 Round and round

This week at There She Goes, our challenge is brought to us by our Trendsetter of the Week, Debby! She is challenging us to use circles on our card or project in any way you see fit. From circle cards, buttons, and brads, just use circles in any way you can!

I had SO much fun making this card!!! I've been busy all weekend creating for the June Dirty Dozen gallery, so making this card was a welcome thing.  I love the idea of the circle theme, so I went with it in all of my DP (who doesn't love a good polkadot??).  The layout for my card comes from this week's Card Patterns sketch that just so happened to contain a circle.  Score!!! I have stamped the image from the TSG set called "Cutie Pi" and then watercolored it with Tombow Markers.  The sentiment that I have used comes from the set called "Chemistry".

Hope you like it!!!
To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using circles in any way you like, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. ISSC19 - Into the future

I'm always blown away by how each week goes by so quickly. I'd say it has to do with the nice weather... but that would be a lie! It has rained here for the last week, not a little bit of rain, a LOT of rain.  But here's to hoping nice weather is just around the corner.  In the mean time, I'm here with this week's iSpy challenge

This week's sketch is from Diane Varrecchione (pinkberry @ SCS) and is based on this card

This is a great sketch and I have a feeling I'll be using it again in the future.

Normally, I like to layer my cards all up and get fancy but this sketch made so much more sense going the clean and simple approach.  For my card, I've used the MFT set called "Own your story" that I recently purchased a LSS garage sale.  Wahoo!! I scored a fabulous deal on it.  The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Onyx Black and the floral image was stamped in Pink Pirouette and both were then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Hope you like it :-)

Here is how to play:

  • Create a paper crafting project (card, scrap book page or 3D item), based on the sketch provided.Post your creation on your blog or an online gallery (using a code ISSC19, and link it here with the inlinkz widget below.

Your Next Stamp Sneak Peek

If you are looking for my TSG Challenge post, please scroll down :-)

I'm rocking it this month at Your Next Stamp and today I'm rocking the sneak peeks.  :-)

Today, I'm highlighting the set called "Spring/Summer Globe Accessories".

For my card, I was inspired by this older Cosmo Cricket DP that for some reason reminds me of the sea.  Maybe, it's the loose wave like pattern, not totally sure.  I have stamped a few different images from the Spring/Summer Globe Accessories in Versafine Onyx Black, embossed with clear embossing powder and then watercolored with Tombow Markers.  I then added some Diamond Stickles to the "bubbles".  These images are just too darn cute.

I'll be using some of the other new images for my Blog Hop project in just a couple days from now.

In the mean time, Before you go be sure to mark your calendars for June 5th! You're invited to our SCS Release Party and Blog Hop! Lots of FUN and PRIZES!!! It all starts in our SCS Forum at 8pm EST!

TSG 159 Inspired

This week our challenge at There She Goes is brought to us by Tobi! She has challenged us to make a card or project using this photo as inspiration.

As you can see, I was inspired by the bird in the inspiration pic as well as the soft pastel colors.  For my card, I kept it really clean and simple. I've used two Memory Box dies that I recently purchased at my local stamp store and then I have added the sentiment from the TSG set called "Dream a New Dream" in Chocolate Chip Ink.

To be eligible for the giveaway, create a card or project using the inspiration photo, and then come back to the TSG Blog to add your name and a link to your project in the InLinkz that is located at the bottom of this challenge post. This challenge is open until the winner has been announced on the following Monday (June 11th). The winner will get a $5 gift certificate to use in the TSG Web store!
