CDS Sneak Peek- Celtic Cross

I'm loving this Celtic Cross and sentiment available from Clear Dollar Stamps on December 1st. I think this might be one of my most favorite samples I've made for CDS since I've been on the team. I made this with my parents in mind - they brought me up in a Christian home and although I don't attend church on a regular basis I do believe in the power of prayer. My parents' bedroom is done in browns and blues and I've been hoarding this DP for months just waiting for the right project. I made a brown mat in behind and then cut the DP to fit. I then stamped the Cross in Versamark and Close to Cocoa and embossed with clear embossing powder before sponging in Soft Sky.

I've given this to my mom already and she had tears in her eyes saying it was one of the most beautiful gifts I have ever given her. She made my heart melt with that.

ALL CDSTAMPS USED: Celtic Cross, I prayed for you today
CS AND PAPERS: Gina K White, Chocolate Chip, Making Memories DP
INK: Chocolate Chip, Versamark,Soft Sky
ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHMENTS: Nestabilities, Ribbon, Sponge, Frame from Dollar Store, Clear Detail Embossing Powder

CDS Sneak Peek - Quick Lists

I'm a list maker.... so when I saw Quick Lists from Clear Dollar Stamps, I knew it would be a great way to get myself organized. It comes with a variety of types of Lists: Honey-do, Don't forget, Wish List, To Do List... the list goes on really - it does. I had a small clip-board that I covered with some of the New Nook and Pantry DP by Basic Grey. I then stamped the Lines and sentiment onto Gina K white. You can always make the lists longer by stamping the set of lines and boxes twice. I didn't dare write my to do list out - it would be way too long......

Check out what the team has made today!

CDS Sneak Peek- If the Crown Fits

It's that time of the month again for the Clear Dollar Stamps Sneak Peeks!!! This month, CDS is releasing a number of single stamps rather than large sets. Perfect for last minute Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers! I know I'd be a happy girl to open up my stocking to new stamps! I'm a sucker for my stamps I tell ya!

This month, I've tried to create projects that would be quick and easy to give away as presents (great excuse to get some Christmas presents done). I bought a wooden frame from Michael's and quickly applied a coat of white paint (to make it look more finished). I then added this too cute DP with glue. I sanded the edges for a crisper look. I cute 4 small squares with my nestabilities, stamped them and then matted them to some black cardstock. I then cut out Princess using my Sizzix alphabet and applied with glue.

ALL CDSTAMPS USED: If the Crown Fits, Cute Crown
PAPERS: Basic Black, Watercolor paper, Unknown Dp
INK: Versafine Onyx Black
MARKERS: Tombow Markers
ACCESSORIES AND EMBELLISHMENTS: Nestabilities, Square Frame(Michael's), Acrylic Paint, Foam Brush, Glue, Sand paper, Sizzix Alphabet, Cuttlebug, Ribbon, Embroidery Thread, Button, Silver Gel Pen

MTSC49 Plan for Many Pleasures

Who doesn't love Mercy's amazing sketches??? I've been a fan of her sketches for awhile now but with my schedule and my DT samples, I haven't had much time to just play. So tonight was all about playing!!! I had to flip the sketch so I could use the stamps I wanted.

I've had this Flirty Fortunes set from Paper Pretties since shortly after it came out (I think I've had it close to a year now) and it has never seen ink! Crazy eh??? I love how my card turned out and boy was it ever quick with me paper piecing it! I really should paper piece more often I tell ya.

Can you tell I'm on my fave color combo kick lately? I absolutely love the combo or pink, black and white so believe me when I say I'll probably be using it again soon.

Sparkle and Bling List:
Stamps: Flirty Fortunes from Paper Pretties
Paper: Gina K White, Basic Black, Making Memories DP
Ink: Basic Black

It's official.... I'm a Stamp Tramp!!!

I'm so excited to become a Stamp Tramp!!!!! I'll be working with Skipping Stones Design, a fantastic fun new company with the funniest, quirkiest stamps you'll see! Make sure you check out the store to see some of Heather's fantastic sets.

Now what exactly is a Stamp Tramp? (I've taken this from Heather's blog page on the SSD website).

*Stamp Tramp: N :1a: a saucy girl who will do just about anything for stamps. 1b: one, who was born to stamp, but forced to work. See also Stamp Slut

*Top Ten Signs You Might be a Stamp Tramp:

1.You are actually reading this top ten list.

2.Your husband lets you have all the stamps you can hide.

3.When people talk stamps, you don’t think Postage.

4.Your fingers have ink on them right now.

5.You consider stamplifting “a crime of passion”

6.You spill a little wine on your cardstock and call it an “OFE” (Opportunity for embellishment)

7.You leave your MIB (Man In Brown)little sticky notes like “Please hide the box under the bushesJ

8.You like getting dirty (Think Ink)

9.You’ve mastered your stamp kissing technique.

10.You wash your hands “Before” going to the bathroom. ‘Cause there are some places even Stamp tramps don’t want glitter.

Now how many of you are Stamp Tramps? Heather is still accepting applications for her design team. If you are thinking about it, look at the DT page. A DT call will also be going up on Splitcoaststampers soon so make sure to check it out there!!!!

Other members of the team are:

Amanda Gauer-Sewell

Erin Stieler Grotegut

Each week, Skipping Stones Design will be having a sketch challenge on the Skipping Stones Design Website. For the month of December, we'll be featuring sketches made by the amazing Kim Teasdale!!!!

Merry and Bright

This card uses a few of the images from Shawne Arnold's set called Jolly and Joy from Clear Dollar stamps. It's a pretty versatile set with lots of goodies. I tried to keep the card clean and simple as I'll be sending this one away as a Christmas card and who wants to pay extra postage for a bulky card? I colored the ornaments with my Tombow markers and then coated them in Glossy Accents to make them shiny. I'm wishing now that I had somehow done a crackle finish on them instead. Do you remember those fancy ornaments when you were growing up? I think my brother and I managed to break a few over the years. Oops!

ALL CDSTAMPS LLC STAMP SETS USED: Jolly and Joy
CARDSTOCK AND PAPERS: Gina K, Watercolour, Melon Mambo, MME DP, WeR Memory Keepers DP

Ability to Accessorize

I've been pretty busy this month so I haven't had too much time for just having fun stamping. I've had this stamp set for quite awhile from Skipping Stones Design but it hasn't seen much ink lately. I was in the mood to create something girly, sassy and fun! Kinda matches my personality!! (peanut gallery need not comment ;-) Hehehehe....

Isn't this black glitter paper from American Crafts great? Believe it or not, I found it at the dollar store awhile back and it was 4 sheets for $1! Score!!!! I'm always looking for a bargain ( I know I'm not the only person who would rather spend money on stamps, DP and embellishments before clothes) so of course I loaded up on the paper in way too many colors.

I've stamped the images in Versafine Onyx Black and colored with my Tombow Markers. So loving this color combo! I've tried to keep the card relatively simple and clean to keep the focus where it should be. This layout is based on this card by Shannan Teubner.

Heather of Skipping Stones Design has a way with fun and sassy sets with a unique sense of humor. I've fallen in love and can't wait until I have more of her sets to play with. Make sure you check out her Facebook group for pics of all the sets. You'll get a kick out of them and I'm sure you'll fall in love too.

Sparkle and Bling List:
Stamps: Well Behaved by Skipping Stones Design
Paper: Gina K Luxury White, Black Glitter American Crafts DP, Bo Bunny DP, Making Memories DP, Watercolor Paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Basic Black
Accessories: Nestabilities, Tombow Markers, Aquapainter, Rhinestones from Making Memories, Clear Detail Embossing Powder

You slid into my life

You slid into my life and warmed my heart!!! Isn't that just the cutest sentiment? This card uses a new set by Wendy Hall for Clear Dollar Stamps called Just Chillin'. I've been trying to go Clean and Simple lately and love the look of Kraft paper as a base on cards. I've cut the Jolly by Golly Cosmo Cricket DP to make it look like snow drifts. I notice someone do this on SCS but unfortunately I didn't favorite the card so I have no clue as to who it was. Sorry.... Can I just say how much fun Flower Soft is - I've now used it on a few cards and love the look of it.

ALL CDSTAMPS LLC STAMP SETS USED: Just Chillin'

Roots and Wings

I'm not a mom yet but can I just say I love this new set from Kim Teasdale called Welcome to Parenthood from Clear Dollar Stamps. This set comes with cute sentiments that are both fun and quirky while some are definitely heartfelt. I've paired this set with one of the pixies from Playful Pixies as I knew I wanted to use an image involving wings. I'm so in love with Basic Grey DP and the Indian Summer Line I think may be my most favorite line ever - I love the tones in it.
