CDS Sneak Peek- February Pansy

Vicki Conquest is back with another Flower Stamp of the Month - this is February's Pansy. Isn't it beautiful? Purple pansies have always been my favorite so of course I had to use my Tombow Markers to color them in. I love how rich Tombow markers look - I tried Copics on the weekend I'm not quite sold on them yet. My DP is the Wisteria Basic Grey Line and I've paired it with Elegant Eggplant.

CDS Sneak Peek - Rooster

Cock - a - doodle- doo! Is that how you spell it? This Rooster is available as a single stamp from Clear Dollar Stamps on October 1st. I've used a recent Mojo Monday Sketch but have flipped it so it worked with the direction of the stamp. I love the Fall feel to this card - it's my favorite time of the year when you go outside and the air feels nice and crisp. We live close to a park so I love going by it when all the leaves are falling. Ahhhh.... Love it!

CDS Sneak Peek - Rock On

Rock On is the first set illustrated by Derrick Schaffer available October 1st at Clear Dollar Stamps. As a girl growing up, I always wanted to play the drums. My parents knew better than to give me something loud to have to practice! Instead, I played the flute - something so quiet it wouldn't bother them. So of course, I had to make a super girly card to remind myself of the things I didn't do as a kid. I love the combination of Black and pink (can you tell???). I've tried to keep this card relatively simple to highlight this image perfectly. What girly card wouldn't be complete without a few pearls right?

ALL CDSTAMPS USED: Rock On
PAPER: Gina K Luxury White, Pink Pirouette, Making Memories DP,Bo Bunny DP, Watercolor Paper
INK: Versafine Onyx Black
MARKERS: Tombows
ACCESSORIES and TOOLS: Tombow Markers, Aqua pen, Clear Detail Embossing Powder, Nestabilities, Half Back Pearls
TECHNIQUES: Watercoloring

The girls are rocking it today... Check it out.

CDS Sneak Peek - Dog Days

Kim Teasdale has a cute new set called Dog Days available October 1st from Clear Dollar Stamps. This is another one of my fave sets this month! To have a friend with such amazing creativity is mindblowing. The layout for this card is for our sketch challenge this month. I found the Dog DP at a LSS so I knew I just had to use it and was the starting point for my card. One thing I like about this set is its' sentiments. The outside of the card says "Ruff Day?" and the inside says "Hope your out of the dog house soon".

ALL CDSTAMPS USED: Dog Days
PAPER: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Gina K Luxury White, Unknown DP, Watercolor Paper
INK: Versafine Onyx Black, Pumpkin Pie
MARKERS: Tombows
ACCESSORIES and TOOLS: Ribbon, Tombow Markers, Aqua pen, Clear Detail Embossing Powder, Nestabalities
TECHNIQUES: Watercoloring

Now... what dog doesn't like a few treats? I've made a fun dog treat jar as my second project. This dog image looks like it's just begging for food (the dog bowl is a separate image). I've watercolored the image with my Tombow markers and then matted it a few times using different colors of cardstock and made it into a tag. I've added ribbon around the top of the jar and also a button.

ALL CDSTAMPS USED: Dog Days
PAPER: Chocolate Chip, Pumpkin Pie, Gina K Luxury White
INK: Versafine Onyx Black, Close to Cocoa
MARKERS: Tombows
ACCESSORIES and TOOLS: Ribbon, Buttons, Embroidery Thread, Tombow Markers, Aqua pen, Clear Detail Embossing Powder, Glass Jar from Dollar Store

The girls are busy today showing samples - make sure to check it all out.

CDS Sneak Peek - Howdy Partner

Shawne Arnold has come up with a new set called Howdy Partner available October 1st at Clear Dollar Stamps. Isn't this little cowgirl just too cute??? You should see her partner!! He's a good looking guy I tell ya. I've been hoarding this DP for quite some time waiting for just the right card to use it with. How perfect is it? Loving it!!! I've colored the image using my Tombow markers and and Aquapainter. I've cut the image and the scalloped layer using my nestabilities. Can I just say I'm really enjoying my MS Loopy Punch. I bought it right when it came out - I can't believe how in demand they are now.

I have a few more peeks for you today but for now - check out what the rest of the team has come up with for all the sets being shown today.

I've stamped the scripture on Very Vanilla using Basic Black ink with my Curved Rectangle Nestabilities. CDS Sneak Peek - Baking with Charliene

Laurie Wilson comes up with the most amazing ideas for the Charlie Line at Clear Dollar Stamps. Baking with Charliene will be available on October 1st - isn't she just too cute? This card was truly inspired by the DP, thus, the colors on Charliene's apron. Charliene also loves her bling so she just had to have Fruit Punch Stickles on the scalloped part of the apron. There are quite a few food items that you can place on her platter. For this card, I chose to use the cookies ( I think they are the only thing I can actually bake on my own). I'm a much better cook than I am a baker (we have an extensive take-out menu collection in our Kitchen).

ALL CDSTAMPS USED: Baking with Charliene
PAPER: Gina K Luxury White, Ruby Red, Scenic Route DP, Watercolor Paper
INK: Versafine Onyx Black

I know for myself, I love turkey and if I do say so myself, I make a fantastic stuffing!!!! The images from this set are great - I had a hard time picking which ones to use. CDS Sneak Peek - OCT SOM Harvest Hellos

Yeah!!!! It's Clear Dollar Stamps Sneek Peek time! Each month, CDS has a set free with a $50 purchase and this month it is called Harvest Hellos. This set is great for so many things. I wanted to make a "Thanksgiving" Ensemble. In Canada, Thanksgiving is just a couple of weeks away and I thought how fun to make some place cards ( I made 4 but only 1 is in the picture). The pumpkin was really easy to make and I found the directions for it on Carolina's Creative Pad. And of course if you have guests over for Thanksgiving, you have to make Thank you cards. Can I just say I've been hoarding that DP for awhile knowing we'd have something fantastic for Fall and Thanksgiving. You can check out Lori's blog, Clearly iStamp to see all of the stamps in the set. You can also check out her blog for all the sets being shown today.

Other CDS DT showing this set are:

Candy Fosta
Katie Renz
Laurie Wilson
Linda Anderson

Tricia Traxler

I'll be back in a bit with another great set.

I know I've been a bad blogger

I know I've been a bad blogger this month. Work really threw me for a loop this month. (I have two jobs - one as a Teacher on Call - can't wait to be full time teaching and then the other is as Assistant Manager of a yogawear store called Lotuswear. There was a water main break last week (actually it was the fire main that went) so there was a crazy amount of water. Unfortunately our store was in the water's path along with a couple of other local businesses. I ended up there one night last week cleaning up mud and water. If you know me.... you know I don't like cleaning that much. The next couple days involved insurance adjustors, restoration companies etc. We decided to have a huge sale - we were way to busy for each of us to work alone so needless to say I worked SEVEN days straight. We had to shut down on Sunday afternoon and pack up all the stock and move it out of the store so that repairs could begin. So needless to say I've been off this week but still trying to get back into the swing of things of everything that got left behind last week.

The best part though is that Sunday starts the sneak peeks at Clear Dollar Stamps!!! So check back Sunday because I have lots of goodies to show you. This month is super cute!!!!!

MTSC39 Need a new wardrobe?

It's that time of the week again for Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge (MTSC39). I swear I stalk my computer on Monday nights waiting for the sketch to go up so that I can play - otherwise I can't get to it until later on in the week. Below is this week's sketch - isn't it great?

And here's my card! I've had this Inkadinkado stamp for quite awhile (about a year and a half) and it has never seen ink! Crazy eh? I know a few people who are pregnant so I thought I'd bring it out and have some fun. Hope you like it.

I've stamped the image using Versafine Onyx Black and then embossing with Clear embossing powder. I've colored using my Tombow markers - have I ever mentioned how much I love them??? Although I'm tempted to dig out my Prisma pencils (now if only I knew where my Gamsol was) as so many people are creating such wonders with them. Hope you like my card and see you here next week for MTSC40.

Sparkle and Bling List:
Stamps: Inkadinkado
Paper: Gina K Luxury White, Old Olive, MME DP, Fancy Pants DP, Watercolor paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Tombow Markers, Aqua pen, Buttons, Ribbon, Circle Nestabilities, Blossom Nestabilities, clear detail embossing powder

FS136 Looking on the Bright Side

WOW!!! What can I say about Steubner (Shannan Teubner) on SCS??? Well..... We all have a stamping idol right? Tell me - you do! I started stampng a couple of years ago and was introduced to SCS by a co-worker (before then I didn't even know that it existed - GASP!!! The horrors). I quickly discovered Steubner and found I was always favoriting her cards. Steubner has a style like no other - a simple elegance in her CAS cards and an amazing way of creating beautiful fancy cards - she definitely has a diverse style. I find myself in awe of her coloring!!! Now if only I lived closer so I could get a "tutorial".

Now onto my card! This is the card I chose to case - Three Martini... Floor. Things I changed were: Image, sentiment, colors, ribbon. I've used Tangled Stella from Stamping Bella. Can I just say I partly blame Shannan for my love of Bellas! She's an enabler I tell ya!!! But I'm not complaining. A girl can never have too many stamps right???

Enjoy your day in the spotlight Shannan!!! You deserve it!

Sparkle and Bling List:
Stamps: Tangled Stella (Stamping Bella), Fluttering By (Verve)
Paper: GinaK White, Chocolate Chip, Rich Razzleberry, My Mind's Eye DP, Watercolor Paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Tombow Markers, Aqua Pen, Nestabilities, Ribbon, Dew Drops, Stickles, Clear Detail Embossing Powder

MTSC38 - Let it snow... Kidding!!!

You know it's Tuesday when.... Mercy has her sketch up at Lord Have Mercy. I didn't have a chance to play last week but I had to this week. I found this awesome DP at my LSS and wanted to play.... I'm definitely a non-traditional girl when it comes to Christmas colours.

Here is what I came up with!!! Isn't she cute?

I've stamped Changito Shovel in Versafine Onyx Black and then embossed with clear detail embossing powder. You know me... I've colored in Tombow markers. I'm getting excited because I'll be taking an Intro to Copics class later on this month with Sherrie Siemens. I'm not sure if I'll like Copics so I thought this would be a good way of figuring out if I want to invest the money into Copics. Wish me luck!

Sparkle and Bling List:
Stamps: Changito Shovel by Stampendous
Paper: Gina K Luxury White, Rich Razzleberry, My Mind's Eye DP, Watercolor paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: MS Snowflake Punch, Nestabilities, Diamond Stickles, Tombow Markers, Aquapainter, Ribbon, Rhinestone Brad

FS135 Make a Wish

Wow... it's been a few months since I've had time to make a card for the Featured Stampers Challenge on SCS but today I was committed to making a card before heading into work for awhile.

LMcAree has a great gallery and this is the card I chose to case: Pinky Birthday.

Ways I've changed the card:
Image, DP paper, used dew drops instead of button, less scalloped circles. Hope you like it!

Sparkle and Bling List:
Stamps: Elzybells
Paper: Gina K Luxury White, Melon Mambo, Lemonade by Basic Grey, Watercolor paper
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Accessories: Dew Drops, Tombow Markers, Aquapainter, Nestabilities, Ribbon, Clear Detail Embossing Powder
